Kava Lover
I've been thinking lately about how societies all have this archetype of sharing an elixer or a feast as part of communion, no matter how much or how little tradition we maintain... One reason why alcohol cannot be removed from our societal framework. I love how kava seems to seamlessly blend into this archetype for me, in fact it satisfies this need more deeply because it is a more cerebral connection to the people who share the experience with me than alcohol could bring. It is a stronger sense of brotherhood and sharing in an appreciation for the positive things in life. Alcohol ultimately severs our connection to others, whether it is over the course of the night as people get too drunk or through alcoholic behaviors. Thoughts?
