Kava expiring

Since i found no other thread with this question, i thought i create one.

So how long do you use your Kava before it gets "bad" or loses its effects? Guess it depends if micro,
instant or root... i have this about 10 months old instant Vanuata Kava from GKE sitting on my shelf and im not
sure if i can still use it. I mean, it smells and looks ok.

Maybe this might be interesting for others too.

I drank kava from 2 years ago recently, and it worked just fine. We don't really have an upper time limit on kava. As long as it's been sealed and kept away from the heat and moisture...you should be just fine.

Unless you're keeping it in damp conditions, where it might get mold or mildew -- you'll know by the smell if that happens -- I wouldn't expect kava to go bad for quite a while.

The oldest kava I ever drank was some leftover Tongan that got lost in a pantry for two and a half years. Past its prime, maybe, but drinkable and effective.
