Kava & glaucoma

I'm only 26 years old, but I have glaucoma (from a car accident). Does kava have any negative affect on glaucoma? Does it raise blood pressure? I mean I'm a little screwed either way because I drink copious amounts of caffeine (something people with glaucoma shouldn't do) but I do take eye drops that keep eye pressures under control.

I have noticed kava raising my BP and heart rate all the times I checked it with a meter. Not a bad thing for me, since my BP is always low and drops lower with standing up. Anybody else check with a meter?

Most people report that kava relaxes them, though it may take some trial and error finding the right strains. The only way to know how it affects any one individual is to try it in small incremental amounts to gauge reactions, since it can affect all of us differently.
