Kava Knowledge in 1911

A buddy of mine has an original Encyclopedia Britannica from 1911. Here's the entry for kava. Relatively spot on, minus a couple inaccuracies. Just thought it was cool that it was in there.

Cool! It's funny how they accept an explanaition that was debunked circa 1880. But also quite sad as it means we can expect the liver myth to exist in various publications for many many years
