Kava, meditation, and astral projection.

Once I get in my shipment of kava I think I will try to use it to meditate and help clear my mind. Anyone who has mediated before knows that the hardest part is being blank. I think that if you were I meditate whilst krunk it could even help in achieving astral projection( a theory that my buddy got me thinking about). Anyone ever used kava to meditate, and if so, how were the results?

If kava heightens your dreams to a more realistic level then yes, it'll help. If you go comatose like I do, then kava wont do anything to help achieve such goals. I'm not so sure if if I believe in the whole astral projection thing, I was into it quite heavily for a while, but this isn't the place for me to be spouting my judgments. I do have sleep paralysis something crazy. I can lock onto a sound in the environment and fall into a paralysis where I know I'm asleep and all sounds I'm hearing are repeating over and over. It absolutely will scare the shit out of you. It can be actually kinda fun when you know what's going on as you can turn a sleep paralysis into a lucid dream or just sit there and know you're asleep. People say that this state is ideal for what people would call an "out of body" experience or astral projection.

You'll probably find a million different people with a million different ideas as to how to meditate, but one thing is for sure. You should at least practice at it without anything effecting your body in a chemical sense. Meditation is as good as its application to our life and if you add the requirement of kava to the mix, then you're just increasing the chance for stress to be more....stressful without it.

Of course this is all my opinion, and my brain basically stays quiet as long as I'm tired as hell, which is always.

I have noticed that since I have been regularly drinking kava that I am able to realize I'm dreaming within a dream and manipulate from there. This is known as lucid dreaming and is something that shamans use various herbs and concoctions to accomplish. On a crappier note I have also noticed that these incredibly vivid and lucid dreams have a stronger affinity to become nightmares. I have had tons of nightmares since I started drinking grog, though I take phenibut for sleep and that be the reason as well.
