kava potency question

how long does it take for kava powder to lose potency if it's exposed to air? the reason I'm asking is because I left the bag open for an hour or two last night and when I drank a shell today i'm not feeling any effect.

an hour or 2 definitely should not have hurt it. ive left my bag open for a week and it was ok. now ideally this is not good practice but you should be ok.

I've had year old kavas. Taste will deteriorate but the kavalactones are all still there.
