Kava prep

Had a unique kava preparation I thought I'd share.
I usually have a great reaction to black sands from n@h but I just made a batch that was the strongest I've ever had.
I usually use n@h method of 1 cup to 2 cup water and soy lecithin, soak 30 min, knead, blend, knead, final strain.
The other night I was really short on time and tried a quicker version.
1/2 cup 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup almond milk, 1 tbs soy lecithin. No soaking, blend for 2-3 min, knead once then strain.
I took it at night to help me sleep and knocked out in about 10 min.
I tried it the next day in the afternoon and wow, it was the strongest I've had.
3 ounces of my old method was what I used to take to relax my back, take away back pain and take away anxiety. With that dose it makes me a little off balance and wobbly but not bad.
3 ounces of the new mix got me crazy krunk. But way too strong for me, room spinning like too much alcohol.
Was messed up for about 4-5 hours before spinning went away, then good effects. But it wasn't pleasant until then.
Not sure if it was the addition of the almond milk or blending longer than usual but just wanted to share my experience.

I'm curious whether the fact that it was the nexy day has anything to do with it. I had an experience a while back where I drank kava early in the day, despite being the same strength I normally make it, it was the most intense kava experience I've ever had. I dont remember if I had any the night before, but I may have. Had you eaten that day? It might have something to do with the fact that there was still kava in your system from the previous night? I doubt the nitty gritty of the method had that much to do with it, but you never know.

I think you're on to something with the marked difference between an evening and the following morning, Buddhacide. A few weeks ago I had a properly potent batch of Judd's infamous "Black Bag" at about 2:00 A.M., which of course had me feeling quite well. Upon waking the next day I had two or three shells on an empty stomach, and holy hell—I was totally hammered! If anyone else could chime in on this topic with some pharmacological explanations for this wonderful phenomenon, that would be great; I've been wondering about this for a while. The often mind-numbing inconsistencies of kava never cease to amaze me.

I know exactly what you guys are talking about! Never gave it much thought though because I don't usually drink kava in the morning and I just figured it was because I hadn't eaten in close to 10 hours (other than kava that night). This is why I love talking with other kava drinkers

Indeed, I'm interested to know what's up. Awaiting grey owl or NDG for their pharmacological explanations
