kava seasons?

I've been watching HKC, KBR and a few others and seeing various strains disappear from stock, Pana'ewa disappeared from HKC in the last week or so.  I imagine that things will bounce back in the next growth cycle.  Anybody have an idea how long these cycles take or when certain things tend to be in season?  Other than the rainy season, in tropical countries I think most things tend to go in and out of season year round, but I don't know if that applies to kava or what the growth cycle is like.  It would be great if somebody would track it on a calendar or something make an iPhone app or something, in my dreams.

I have a friend who might do it. He's pretty busy designing games for tablets and smart phones but he might like something he can bounce around to when he needs a break from game design. It's not likely but I could ask him. It's worth a shot.
