Kava specifically for sleep? (as well as other things) (newbie here)

Hello all!
I began looking into Kava when I read someone described the sleep it promoted as "deep and dreamless" at the right dose. That intrigued me because I don't get any 3rd and 4th stage sleep (the stages beyond REM) due to narcolepsy, so anything with the potential to knock me out deeper definitely grabs my attention =)
(The technique of using a drug to force a person with narcolepsy into a deeper sleep has been proven to work, but at present there is only one prescription drug that does it, and it's a really messy situation with the company that produces it jacking up prices and being overall quite evil.)

I apologize for bringing an aspect of pharmacology to these boards created for recreational Kava enjoyment, but if anyone is willing to help on the following I'd be much obliged. Hopefully the Kava gods won't be too disturbed.
1) Anyone use Kava for the sleep itself and have first hand knowledge? That'd be super ideal.
2) What "style" or "type" of Kava is best for inducing a deep sleep? (So many different varieties have so many different adjectives to describe their effects!)
2.1) Or, at least, which ones don't "pep you up" or make you "energized?"
3) Whirlwind internet searching says that the recommended dosing of kavalectones for my purpose would be in the 150-200 mg range. Do different varieties/producers have enough of a variance of kavalectones to control for? Obviously my inexperienced preparation would keep the process from being exact, so I'm not too concerned about perfection here.
3.1)Where do I find the kavalectones I'd be getting from each dose, anyway? I haven't come across any concentration tables on any of the sites of visited. Of course, I could just be blind.
4) I've read about people experiencing lingering sensations of fatigue the following day, which would be just a little counterproductive. Should I be worried about that? What are some ways to avoid those effects?
5) I'd be administering the dose on most weeknights and not on most weekends. For the larger than typical dose I'd probably be taking, is that enough of a break every week to avoid the skin condition? (If nothing else, I'm not too worried about trial and error. This whole adventure is going to be a lot of that.)
6) Just one last consideration, I'm a broke as all hell college student and barely can afford my copays for my current narcolepsy medicine, so however this works out I'd rather not pay more per month than my current copay of $35, so if you have any specific suggestions that aren't exactly the Grey Goose of Kava they'd be quite helpful =)
6.1)Oh, on that note, I don't have a very discerning palate, so that's one consideration that actually doesn't have to be worried about. There is one. Shocker.

I appreciate any insight :) Thanks so much for even getting this far in that lonnng post!

Of the Kava I tried, Chief's Jungle from Nakamal At Home works best for sleep.  More expensive than most, but a couple nights ago I took just 2 TBS to 20 OZ water and I slept like a rock.  Must have been the last stage of sleep.   When I take this Kava, there is always some sleep gook in my eyes the next morning.  Woke up 9 hours later, and didn't have any trouble functioning the next day.  This may be  piper wichmanii, the wild form of most Kavas on the market.  I don't worry about the Kavalactone content, since each strain seems to have different effects and work differently on each person.  Many people don't like the taste of Chief's Jungle, but I am one of the few people who relishes the taste of Kava.

Almost any kava is a great for sleep. Chief jungle as said above is good, stone is good too. You can get a 1.1 pound bag for a little over your 35 bucks, and you can make that last all month, just dont try the 1 cup root 2 cups water b-s.

Chief Jungle will do it for some. I can stay up after drinking it but when I do decided to lay down and sleep I'm totally out.

Hawaiian Kava gets me sleepy. It's not has heavy handed as Chief Jungle though. I like it because it's mellow and lets me drift into a state of comfy sleepyness.

Thanks for the input!! I really appreciate you guys taking the time to help me out =D
I got a little nervous when some of the Kava types were being described as "energizing" so your personal experience is worth absolute gold to me. I'll post again in a while and let you all know how it goes!
Thanks again :)
