Kava to Cuba?

Alright I know this is a tough one!I'll be going on vacation in Cuba in a couple months and I was wondering how I could bring Kava with me.They mention it's allowed to bring teas and herbal teas and that it's allowed to bring in 10KG of medications. However, being that it's Cuba, I don't want to take chances.
I've been thinking to bring either the Kava Kava Candies and/or the Paradise Extract. Although I've never tried either one of them.I'm also wondering if it will get me krunked? (my friends will be drinking so I wanna have fun too :p)Wasn't thinking of bringing powder unless someone here says it would be safe...Do any of you think the Coconut Vanilla Extract from paradise could pass as a body cream or lip balm?
Thanks a bunch guys

Hmmm I'm not sure what Castro would think about kava... But hey maybe if you got him krunk he would lighten up eh? But anyways, I think it wouldn't be a good idea to take a pound of foreign brown powder into a country like Cuba. Candies and extract I would think you would be fine, or maybe even a tin of instant kava. As far as getting krunk goes, I havnt tried the candies or te kava extract so I couldn't tell you. But from what I gather, there basically just for a quick fix throughout the day. Instant kava could get you a bit krunk though, but I'm still not sure seeing as how it's a powder. You could maybe put the powder in gell caps and put them in a medication bottle.

I'd look into it real well, maybe even email the Cuban customs people. Don't rely on forums or wikipedia. That is one country that doesn't fuck around with any type of deviation from their strict ass rules and pretty much every thing is illegal. I'm not sure what the legal status is, but would seriously recommend that you find out for sure before bringing anything in. Even if it's not explicitly illegal they may still arrest you on the spot for bringing in some type of suspect powder or goo and leave you rotting in prison until they test it and decide if it's a crime or not.

I'm more worried about the corruption, you see. So even if it's legal they might make some fuss to get my money or whatever...

I don't know. However I did contact their customs offices though

Coconut face scrub is better.

Cuba! You lucky so and so! Are you from the US?

Always wanted to visit the Partagas Factory (the the LCDH under it) :) some day!

Oh Please Adil! If I had enough money I'd come and visit you LOL but nowadays 600$ all in will only get you so far...

If it was all up to me I'd go and visit the Lana'i island and Kauai and I'd swing by to see you in person at your store hehe

They like to party hardcore and drink and I like to relax and chill by the beach. So I'm thinking if I can bring some kava with me I'll get the relaxation I'm looking for :p

And no I'm in Canada.

Are you telling me that $600 gets you flights and a full vacation in Cuba?? I'm looking into this!

Hotel Nacional, Havana cigars, the barbeques, Cafe Cubano... just heaven.

Hawaii has it's own lovely charm, but it's home and you know what they say...about the grass....being greener?

:) Have a great vacation!

Adil. When I spent a week in Havana a few years ago I spent about $500 for a flight and a one bedroom "apartohotel" 10 minutes outside downtown. We had to buy food and drinks, which were maybe a few hundred more (cuban grocery stores are nuts). But it is dirt cheap. I spent more on cigars than I did my entire trip + expenses. Its literally cheaper in some instances for Canadians to go to Cuba for a week and buy cigars than to go to the local Habanos retailer and buy them here.

Mind you the Partagas factory tour was closed when I was there. I did go to the shop though. I've been thinking about booting back over next month actually, as Cuba apparently doesnt charge a fee for single travelers like most other vacation destinations.

If its any consolation I think most Canadians that go to Cuba would rather be going to Hawaii.

I was wondering when you'd chime in Jason. Cuba, cigars, kava...we were waiting...

No, it's no consolation whatsoever!

Ok, just a bit, since it was 80+ and sunny yesterday when I swam with turtles.

Still, Partagas Factory has major swagger.
