The grinds are so soft and fluffy, and more on the finer side with very even grind consistency (see pic). Very soft aroma which follows through on the taste which is exceptionally mild. This is certainly one of the most mild tasting kavas ive ever tried.

Effects are centric and focused more of the heady side, with euphoric highlights and definite mood enhancement, making it unusually easy to smile (if you know what I mean). Not a rushy heady type - more of the happy, mood enhancing type heady. There is definitely a bit of a spacey element too. I'm catching myself staring into space with no thoughts going through my head. It sort of clears the mind. Potency is up there too. Yet, for a heady kava there is also a very chill vibe to it. Not anxiety inducing like some other really heady types.

Overall I really like this one and went back to purchase two more pounds for $180.00 so I think it's worth the premium price.

For the true kava aficionado it needs to be sampled for sure.
