I don't hide trying AntiDepressants till it's a bit more regularly light and warm out.

Question: Is KavaKava good bad or neutral with them? If anyone knows...Just in case. The doctor seems to have had read mixed reports.
As I say: sure I might like particular kind of heady kinds.
On the other hand just a good idea to double check. It may well be that a small(ish) amount is ok. while larger amounts bad.. or might be fine or helpful or etc.
So just double checking!

Thanks guys for the solid opinions and guidances so far.

gork, I don't know about AntiDepressants and Kava, but for the type of depression associated with sunshine deprivation you could take Vitamin D3 combined with Vitamin K2. My nephew told me about it and I didn't believe him so I tried it....and it works! The Vitamin K2 will also help prevent calcification in your arteries, heart valves and brain, and make your bones stronger. Also for depression it seems to help me when I recharge my B vitamins every once in awhile.

Good point on K2, and Bcomplex. I tried a b12, it just made me feel just weird and not quite right. It might simply have been to much B12. Trader Joes multi at one time looked like reasonable mix, the one I liked was called "Vitamin Crusader" They sell a different one now Some crap about proffits and it wasn't making enough proffit.

As always I just think it's a good idea to ask. FWIW I am finding now that I do Zumba three times a week, and gym 4-5 days plus strolls in the sun my deit is gravitating to more balanced. I fell into the trap of way to much soda or coffee as a pick-me-up. For what ever reason a smoothie of spinach, fruitjuice, and yogert with breakfast and lunch so hits the spot and I'm just in generall feeling...more at ease with myself? like I rib myself for small things, or accidentally sending a head hunter a dyslex'd email rather than dictating it...that was just gloriusly humourusly bad,

Ahh, Zumba and gym! I wish I had access. I do get strolls in the sun (and the clouds and the rain) with my puppers, tho. He insists apon it, and I am first to agree, since Kava. B12 does sometimes pack a wallop. Did you take the little sublingual kind? I can handle those and sometimes enjoy the effects but I be mindful what time of day I take it and what's in my tummy. But the D3 for SAD, I know it sounds trite, works good. I love gloriously humourusly bad. Sounds like a book I want to read or a movie I'd like to see.

Yes.....interesting. Luckily, your body stores it so if you take it for 3 to 5 days, you then don't have to worry about it for many months to come. then again you might not need it. Most people do tho. I think something like 80% of all people are B12 deficient. It helps your brain chemistry, so.....

Hmmm it's my (bad) understanding that B's somehow help manage energy and clean out your body somehow I have no idea how though

My bad....I drank a gourd of yerba mate for the first time yesterday, and was feeling wildly talkative. B12 heavily involved in the nervous system somehow. I only know this because a B12 deficiency can cause nerve damage. The other B's, not sure but Grandma used to give us B-complex if we ever had a cold or sore throat.

LOL oh I'll see your cheery mood and raise it some cookies.(wait for this joke grenade to go off) I'm famous for being cheery and conversational now after some good kava.
@B12. Mmm, it's suposed to help with Anemia as well somehow.

Hi gork, Drugs dot com has a drug interactions checker that seems pretty good. It lists 6 major interactors and a whole bunch of minor interactors for kava. Anemia, huh, well what about amnesia? That's right, cuz now I remember I gave some to my niece because she has anemia. She's really tired and pale and lagging about the house all day. I don't think she's taking it tho. She drinks vinegar every morning. Does vinegar cause iron loss? I think it's supposed to help mineral absorbtion when you put it on your leafy greens.
