Koniak is hands down my favorite kava. It starts off heavy and intoxicating; these effects last for about an hour and a half at most. Then it tails off into excellent muscle relaxation and a warm, sedated feeling. It's very potent, and I would say I use maybe 2 tablespoons of Koniak where I'd use 3 tablespoons of another kava.

The taste is very strong and piney; it's not pleasant by any means but it's not too bad.
