Kava Curious
Just had panels done and liver is great after 3 yrs of 80% of days instant or micro, mostly GHK 75% Mahakea/25% Moi but some Fire Island and Bula Green as well now and then.
I was in an insanely stressful situation that I've finally extricated myself from. (Daily morning cortisol surge could be felt in a massive way, hard to do anything until 2 or 3 shells in). I did gain 20 lbs which affect triglycerides from what he Dr told me, but I'm also in great shape and workout quite regularly, sometimes for several hours. I think the weight is largely from cortisol, not really overeating.
Here are some numbers, and just wondering if Kava could be affecting triglycerides:
Triglycerides: 740
HDL: 40
LDL: value not calculated with high triglcrds
Total cholesterol: 275
LDL direct: 109
Albumin: 3.8
Total bilirubin: 0.3
Alkaline phosphatase: 130
AST: 26
ALT: 55
Overall cholesterol is a bit high but Dr said she wasn't worried about that based on my HDL / LDL spread and more just worried about triglycerides. She suggested that losing the recent weight gain is best way to deal with this by I'm not sure if Kava is pushing it up.
Searching this forum I've seen mention that it is a factor, but also seen that it has gone down for a few after starting Kava. Oh - and I'm a vegetarian and don't eat much ice cream, but do have moderate amounts of cheese. So that would suggest a lower cholesterol overall.
