Kava Recipe liter of Kelai made from 50g dry root.

Cold water, clean cloth, squeezed for ten minutes. This Kelai was made as two liters water and 100 grams dry root. I soaked 1L of it with the roots themelves in a jar overnight with which to make 2L tomorrow - a first, second wash and soak combo. Drank, of the liter I have strained, half, so 25 grams worth of Kelai from New Zealand Kava Society.

This kava is particularly interesting. On a normal day, one sip will feel like kava overload, and wear off in moments. However, drinking the Kelai tonight, my metabolism is slowed down by too much food and drink, so I had a few sips of Kelai (500ml to be sure) and it is coming slowly to my attention that I have drank kava, not too quickly.

I feel my head is relaxing and I am hydrated. Delicious roots. Will update post after finishing kava.
