Making Kava with a coffe press

Has anyone tried making kava with a coffee press like this one here? Looks like it would knead and strain it well. May make the process go quicker for people that don't have a lot of time.

You know I thought about that. I don't have a french press though so I wasn't able to try it.

A Japanese drip brewer with the heat off might work nice to.

As an avid coffee drinker who uses a coffee press everyday, I am surprised that I haven't thought of this. I'll try it tonight and get back to y'all. My only fear is that it won't knead it enough.

Ok, that's a no go on the french coffee press. The filter on the bottom is to small. I was pressing really hard and only a little liquide made it through before the pressure caused it to bust out the side and go everywhere. Not fun.

Yea looked like le french press had the squirts.
