Malekula Magic powder question from new member

Hello everyone


I'm new to Kava root powder  having started on a tincture from Iherb and recently the extract from Paradisekava a month ago. I should be getting a kilo of 'Malekula Magic' powder tomorrow.


I read rave reviews about it (hence the order) but have recently come across some poor reviews of more recent batches. Has anyone tried the most recent batch?


I'm very excited about joining the forum and will keep you posted on how it goes.

i just had a batch from vanuatu kava bar and it had a decent effect, but for me was extremely dehydrating and a very strong diuretic

We just tapped into the most recent batch that landed here in the US, and to me this batch is a bit more flowery than the last.  I'f I'm not mistaken, it was a 423561.  It is peeled Borogo roots and stump with Silese. (~6.5% lactone content.  A typically mild kava, but as you guys probably already know, the mill grade often makes more of a difference than the lactone content.)  
With this shipment, we now have all 3 mill grades available on-hand, from a near-micronized through the usual coarse, but the website is not yet equipped to differentiate on the orders.  If you have a specific request, feel free to call and place an order at 828-505-8118. I've been using it daily for a week and so far have noticed very mild effects. This is my first every batch of Kava root powder so I guess I'm working through the reverse tolerance and as such I'm not in a position to rate the batch.  I'm going to stick with it and see how it goes.


On a side note - I did try 2 bottles of Kava cola last night and they definitely had a euphoric effect. On my late night dog walk, I felt like I had canine hearing Watching old episodes of ER also drew me in more than usual.
