Mellow Kava Music Playlist?

Paradise Kava

Does anyone listen to relaxing, peaceful music while sipping on kava? I'd love to compile a mellow, 'easy on the ears' collection someday for kava sessions. I don't mean elevator music or "smooth jazz" ~ (smiley: grin)
Music is so personal and varied; it would be interesting to know what people like for their kava time.
Is anyone into Spotify here?
Maybe we can compile a ' Kava Playlist' together for the kava community to enjoy?

The Fourth Movement of Tschaikowsky's Symphony Number 6 is a staple in my kava music repertoire - such undulating emotion.

I like to combine both hearing and seeing. Song is still good but the visual is what really makes it work for me.

It's one of the most beautiful expressions of passion and the human need to share it with another person.

Nice selection Modernaught. The Brian Eno tune especially since airports are so stressful these days.

Spotify is a Godsend for music lovers and I've been waiting for it for a while since it's UK release last year. They launched in the U.S this year.

It's a free (and paid, if you don't want ads) service where you can create a fast streaming personal library of music, always there for you when you log in.

Also contains the largest selection of music I've ever seen anywhere. There is a way to turn off auto posts to facebook, it's most annoying feature.

Also a big fan of older Jazz from Lester Young, Charlie Parker, J. Coltrane, Miles D., Yusef Lateef, Pharoah Sanders, etc.
And then there are the jazz vocalists, so many to name.

Will try and compile a list on Spotify in case any of you signup and want to share music on there.

Nina Simone! Any of you guys TV on the radio fans? I love them on kava.

I also really love a band called the handsome family. They're sort of alt-country, not for everyone. Best lyrics out there. The felice brothers have been a favorite for a while as well.

midas, Simple Things is a good album. I mean really good!

Buddhacide, Nina has a voice like no other. "sugar in my bowl" is great among so many of her tunes.

Also like Sarah Vaughn, Billie H and Ella (of course).

Have you heard of Kurt Elling? Great Jazz vocalist.

Will check out felice brothers and handsome family.

I just came across another one while I was fumbling around my various profiles. I like stuff like this on or off kava. It's cool that her dad takes such a supportive interesting in it to. Nice guy, got a daughter with some pipes...

Hey guys, I started selecting and mixing a Reggae show some months back as a means to take a break from stress and share my musical findings with others. I've always enjoyed Reggae music for the same relaxing and cultural wholesomeness that kava holds, and I feel the two go great together as I no longer use MJ (although they're completely different).
Feel free to check it out if you think its something you may like! http://www.BrukOutSessions.com

Bossa Nova Jazz has always been a great decision. On the other hand, so has a great artist by the name of Govinda (sound sutras) album in particular. Its difficult to say what their genre is exactly, but That is a magical album played from start to finish!!

Maybe for kava music....some george harrison? he was very spiritual in his music and it would be sure to enhance the kava experience....
Get krunked and put on "Marwa Blues" by george harrison!
or: these are all instrumentals: "Lenny" - stevie ray vaughan, "manhattan" - eric johnson, "7-14" - Andy McKee, or jazz lovers can get lost in "John mclaughlin" by miles davis. Country lovers: "Sandusky" by uncle tupelo."doing the wrong thing" - kaki king"either way" - wilco
Way too much music to post!
Edit: De phazz - "sabbatical"  (maybe the best kava song in my opinion)
