Yum, a nice bowl of saw dust. "OK, food photographer dude, here is some gross powder to take a picture of... put it in a nice bowl or something..." That is not the worst popular article about kava I have seen. It is generally positive, but the way it conflates kava and K@ is annoying. "Many in the kava community have disagreed with the classification [of K@ as a Schedule I substance] and have responded by petitioning the White House." That may be technically true but it would have been more accurate to say "many in the K@ community..." That confusion is not really the author's fault though.
