I don't know if they did or not.
But I know a bad trend when I see one...
Plus I know she was doing some off-board trolling with some disturbing comments and implications.
I try to monitor lightly here, as you all well know. But I made this one executive decision and I'm sticking with it.

I wasn't offended by Natalie's posts but did find them hard/annoying to read, I don't think her aim was to be either annoying or offensive though. I just find it very difficult to read posts that aren't written in plain, clear English. If I posted on here using some of the slang/language that I would use all the time with my friends, I'm sure I'd have everybody's head wrecked by now

She didn't offend me, but I think she sort of had the wrong idea of kava and didn't really "get it". She just needs to let the root take her where it wishes to take her

I only had three problems. I believed in my heart of hearts that eventually the desire for violence would diminish as reverse tolerance and/or kava-cultural assimilation took over, but alas...
The abuse My Wife's English was one of them, already mentioned.
The other is the username... We're talking about kava here. I like the taste of kava. I even enjoy the texture of somewhat thicker kava. But, I know I've overdone it at stressful times in my life, and I really don't like anyone to invoke "puke" in any sense of the word.
I don't mind profanity, so long as one swears like an adult. See graphic below...

A lot of people think that they have some sort of right to free speech regardless of where they are online.. Its kind of like going over to someone's house and refusing to take your shoes off though.

She was moving things in a direction that was counterproductive to the well-being of this community. Plus, she had been making off-board comments that were inappropriate and disturbing.

I understand. This laid-back and friendly community is rare on the internet, so when Natalie exploded on the scene with dozens of profanity-laced posts I think we all raised an eyebrow. We have a fantastic culture here, but it could be changed, and Natalie definitely had the possibility of being an agent of change in a negative way just by how "all-in" she is.
I personally don't think that was going to happen though. Natalie surely has faced a lot of judgmental people in her time, so when she felt judged I think she lashed out, but people here weren't really judging or looking for a fight, it just felt that way to her. I think had a little more time passed she would have seen that people here weren't judging, or trying to control her. The kind of people here are the opposite of that.
Almost all of us come here out of a need for something. We have a flaw that kava helps us with, whether that's aches and pains, anxiety, or substance abuse. Natalie I think was someone who really needs the influence of kava and an accepting community, more than most. I think what we've proven in the past is that when you take the time to relax, have a shell, and really try to have empathy for someone who has totally different views than you, it works, anyone can learn how to get along with their neighbors. It makes me sad that we couldn't be that for her, because I feel like we could have been a major positive influence in her life.

Like my co-moderator said, "disturbing." Inappropriate I can tolerate, but let's be honest about our make-up here. We have people with various degrees of depression, anxiety disorders including PTSD, not to mention a fairly high percentage of Autists compared to the general population.
Join a forum about tiki culture and read the posts that newbs make about Jimmy Buffet if you want to see hostile. (For the record, I do in fact hate Jimmy Buffet.)

For the record, Philip, my head doctor has moved my diagnosis from Generalized Anxiety Disorder to mild Ausperger's.
But since I'm krunked, I know these are just labels applied to those of us outside the norm.
