We used to sell a strain of Tongan kava called Fu'u. It was fantastically euphoric and high quality. Unfortunately, as happens with kava exporters for some reason, the source more or less disappeared. That kava was great and super popular so I've been looking for something similar to replace it for a while. I finally found it! We've arranged to begin importing a lovely noble Tongan kava. It is very high quality and very fresh. They don't even pull the plants from the ground to begin drying until the order is placed. The price will be great for kava this good at around $35/lb.

I should have this kava ready to go in approximately three weeks. I'll let everyone know here when it's available. We'll also probably send out an email notification if you're subscribed to the list, which may include a discount offer. Exciting times!

Hey guys. I was waiting for some test results to come back before releasing the kava. So here's the deal: It is Tongan Fu'u, four years old, and has a traditional noble 246351 chemotype. Total kavalactone % is around 10%. We should have it available on the website in the next couple days. We're really excited about this one. It's nice and potent and super smooth tasting. It's a lot like the Fu'u we used to carry but stronger and easier drinking. We've been serving it at the kava bar for the last couple days and regular customers are absolutely loving it! Cool. How is the grind on this one? As I recall the old Fu'u was extremely finely ground, almost like micronized, which was not ideal. And can you say which island of Tonga it is from? (I ask that because some folks were talking about how kava from 'Eua is prized--or trendy--these days)

In Tonga, just like in Vanuatu, everybody's kava and everyone's island is "the best". :)

Except for the Tongan island of Losefestem, whose unfortunate inhabitants are wracked with doubt about how good their island and their kava is. Because of this they work extremely hard to produce good kava, but they always feel that their kava is sub-par anyway, and will whine about it to anyone who will listen.

In fact, the best kava in the world comes from Losefestem, but don't tell them, they might stop trying.

Do you mean the discount for comments about why you drink kava? That promotion expired last month. We do a lot of promotions though. Make sure you're signed up for the newsletter and you'll get word next time we put something out there.

I want to Tong!

Do you lie about your tonging? Do you look forward to tonging alone? Do you show up to work tonged? If so, you may tong wrong.

If I'm going to tong wrong, I'd need my bong and a long song about dong.
