I reckon it might be oversensitivity to ion channel blocker effect. It should reduce in tde course of repeated use.

What about coordination, ringing in the ears and piss?

If there is overall high sensitivity, I'd take a cautious approach (use small amounts) lest you experience some nasty general unwanted effects.
