This kava has a smooth and pleasant taste that is a hallmark of Tongan kavas. It was really mellow and smooth last night when I tried it, but it completely laid me out after lunch today when I tried it again, so I’m not sure what to make of it. It’s definitely sedating with a combination of mellow heady and body effects. The main negative to me is that although it tasted good, the smell seemed old and a little musty. Overall a good kava
