I ordered once from realkava, the roots and Vanuatu powder before. When I ordered, shipping was kind of on the high side. The kava was ok, I liked it.



Does kanakava sell root powder? I kinda remember seeing the site way back and it was still out of stock.

I just went thru a pound of the Vanuatu from realkava total cost with shipping around $42.00 and it was good although not exceptional.

Hi there,
I ordered some days ago at realkava.com and used PayPal to pay my order but something must went wrong with my order cause I never received any confirmation e-mail. I tried to contact them but got no answers. The only mails so far I got from them were these automated mails you receive when creating a new account. (smiley: ohwell)Does anyone have the same problems with them in the last few days?

Hi Spotter, I placed an order with realkava.com about a month or so ago. Looking back on my email records, I not only received an order confirmation email but also a shipment confirmation email a few days later. I believe they only ship out on Tuesdays and Fridays if my memory serves correct, but once shipped it arrived very quickly. Did you check your Paypal account to see if the transaction is listed there? Some weird things have been happening with my Paypal account in the last week or so. I thought it was just me but maybe not. I hope this helps.

The PayPal transaction is listed as completed. On the day I placed my order I was able to check my account  and the order history at realkava.com. I read that they ship on Tuesdays and Fridays. So when I came back to look if my order has been shipped (cause I didn't get any e-mail) I could not log in, the system told me my e-mail address is unknown. That's why I contacted them via e-mail (mailing the PayPal transactioncode as well) but I still got no response from them. I just want to know if my order is on its way, I'm really looking forward to my first kava experience (smiley: wink).

Hmmm... that's really strange. I'm sorry I can't help out then. Maybe you'll get a response after the long weekend. All I can say is that my one experience with them was very positive so I'm sure it will get sorted out soon. Good luck!

Don't worry about getting ripped off by Gary w/ Kava Kauai.  I have bought from them multiple times.  My last batch was a lb of Vanuatu and 250 grams of instant.  Just so you know their instant is the same as Bula Kava House's or real, real close.  Give them a ring but keep in mind the time difference.

I finally got an answer. My order will be shipped tomorrow. I never thought of being ripped off but worried bout my order being lost. I'm quit excited and really looking forward to my first Kava experience, hopefully it passes customs.

I am relatively certain that Kanaka Kava was the kava bar that my parents went to and brought me back a half pound for $25. Well anyway the bag looks the same as that site and it is on the same island. That was some pretty sweet kava actually. It was actually really dark and VERY finely ground like cocoa almost. The kava came out looking just like chocolate milk, compared to the coffee color of other kavas i have tried (I add milk to my kava when I am mixing it, don't know what it looks like with no milk). It was also quite strong. I would compare it to fiji waka and tongan pride (kava by rex) mixed together in strength, but way less UP feeling. It was stronger then the BKH borogo 2kg I went through, which I had side by side to compare. It had a completely different flavor to any of the others kavas I have tried. It is however kind of expensive, definitely not low quality though :)
So one of the top Kavas I have had if not the top.
