I let the frozen kava soak for about 10 minutes or enough time to know that it's been fully defrosted.

The holy grail. This stuff is awesome. I take what I made from the first batch, and add it to a second batch where I use only 1 cup of water. All added together I get about 1 liter of wonderful kava. Each shell has the comparable effects roughly to about 2-3 grams of paradise extract for me except it's much faster acting. The taste is closer to green tea than kava. It has a detectable sweetness to it that I've never gotten from any powdered kava before. You can taste the freshness and the natural enzymes still present. It's great. If you love kava at all do yourself a favor and buy some fresh frozen.....oh but you probably should rob a bank first. It's expensive, but worth it.
