Stunning photos. This allows to imagine the incredible amount of work and time needed to get from a little kava plant to ready-to-drink medium grind root. (y) ::happyshell::

Watching you guys dig up that big old kava plant reminds me of a joke:
How many Hawaiians does it take to Harvest a Kava Plant? I'll leave the punchline to my fellow members but it seems like you have to dig way around the plant so you don't loose any of the valuable and potent lateral roots. Very labor intensive to say the least. That's quite an assortment of Kava manufacturing tools you got there. Bet they cost a pretty penny.

Thanks for reposting these pictures but the 2 naysayers will still come up with a 100 reasons why that doesn't prove anything. Sighhh .... Please do not reply to anymore of that nonsense and just keep focused on harvesting and selling us Freshly Harvested Kava and made in the USA. Thanks again for putting up with the psycho-drama around here.
There is a nice description of the harvesting procedure here (as well as some spiritual advice)

Lots of people must have amnesia because I have seen pictures like this from Chris many times.
True, me too. Most of the photos I recognized from earlier threads, in particular those from the harvesting procedure, pulling the root out of the ground, cuttings etc. Nothing new in fact, but some guys obviously forgot about that or refuse to accept the truth - that GHK is a legitimate vendor of Hawai'ian 'awa and 100% reputable.

Good article @verticity. The harvesting process as described is even harder than I imagined and very manual labor intensive. I would be inclined to use a backhoe or some other digging machine.
Pic by S. Nelson of a kava harvest in Hawaii during the kava boom at the turn of the Millennium. Of course Chris does not grow his kava this way; he uses the old traditional farming methods.
