Powdered Kava Review Pouni Ono

So I had High hopes for this root powder from Kalm With Kava,and it did not disappoint!
So far as I am new I have only got to play with Nakamal at home's Stone kava,it had great reviews and that why I started with it...and it was very strong,in taste and buzz! Certainly not something I would want to use everyday or even 4 days out of the week!
So I searched online,read reviews trying to find a Noble kava with a mild taste and social,energetic type heady buzz...
Read great things on KWK's Pouni Ono,so ordered some!

This is what I have been looking for!
I loved the light-ish looking color the water had,beautiful stuff!
It had a creamy texture,slightly bubbly with a great mild smell...The smell was weird because when I went to take my first gulp's.I noticed that the smell was very very mild,I wasent even certain if I could smell it or not! Makes it alot easier to drink!
So the taste was great compared to the stone,very light,with light bitterness..very easy to drink!
After about 5 minutes of pounding down about 4-5oz of the kava I could already feel effects starting! At 10 minutes it was building even more, I made sure I drank down all of the 14oz of the kava tea in under 30 minutes,probably more like 20-25 minutes..
By the time I finished my last sip,I was sinking a little deeper into the bed, "I was sitting up watching a movie"
My energy was spiked,had electricity feeling throughout my mind and body,along with a light body numbing...
The real pleasure of this stuff was its HEADY effects! My mind was grooving,I was smiling at everything...
Tons of euphoria with this one! Tingly head and face on the come up but it was what Iv been needing!
This kava is perfect,not to strong and perfect for anytime of day use! also perfect to use everyday if you wanted to...
Everything about the Pouni Ono has earned my respect and I would buy more so to make sure I don't run out of this stuff!
All in all,this is one amazing kava,perfect for a sunny day,or in social situations,if u like heady kava's and haven't tried it,try it!

Great Review!!! Haven't tried it yet but now I will. Lately I've been mixing Kalm Concentrate wit some Mo'i at lunch time to create a great blend for me. Now I'm thinking, I'll get some of this and try doing the same thing. Maybe we could talk Mike into whipping up a batch of micronized.

Also got some paradise kava extract on the way,hehe
The micronized would be awesome I bet lol,but hell Im so new to this I havent even tried any before,I think between the stone and the pouni ono and the extract on the way,I should be set for a little while

Edit: With being a lightweight, you're going to absolutely LOVE the Paradise Kava extracts.

Lol yup,I told ya I was pretty sensitive to alot of stuff!
Kava is no exception,lol...Im sure the more use to it I get the more I will end up using ect,but this was late at night when I tried it and wanted to get a feel for it,it was actualy stronger then I figured it would be at 1 tablespoon lol...
But ya,I cnt even imagine what 4-6 table spoons would do! lmao...2 would prolly be my max,maybe lenghten the effects longer as well,either way I love the effects from the Pouni Ono,and certainly cant wait to try the extract! haha

Ok I just tried more of this Pouni Ono kava,it is certainly strong,,,
I used little more then a tablespoon,did fist wash with 1 cup,did a second wash with 3/4 of a cup after...
mixxed them both,I drank it all in 25mins,felt it again around the 10min mark I would say,
This time idk if its because I did the 2 washes or what but it was defently stronger then the last try with the pouni ono!
For about 10mins right around the 30 minute mark I felt a little to buzzed! my ears wernt ringing or anything like that but,my body was nice and floaty feeling,along with my mind,the mind had an energetic rush that followed and continued to build for an hour I would say,everything because brighter,more funny ect...reminded me of that feeling u get coming "up" on psychedelics! it wasent trippy per say,but the body felt numb,mind was ooozing euphoria! either there batch of this stuff is new and strong,or im crazy sensitive! The buzz I had was strong,few hours later I still feel it pretty good,although the mind calmed down after an hr or so crazy potent,energetic,heady kava is the pouni ono!

Nice review @Bradley666. I thought I was a liteweight but you take the prize. Don't get me a wrong, money wise, that's a good thing. Actually, the less you gulp the less you grimace so that is also a good thing.

Iv kinda been told I was a lightweight since I was 16,lol...
Im guessing the more I use kava and the more I explore what it has to offer ect,Im sure I will raise the dose up some..
atleast the kava should last a little while since I dnt need to use 1 cup of root per 1-2 cups of water,lmao..thats crazy!

What I can say is that one of my friends loves it so much that he is already drinking on his 2nd 1lb bag in under 30 days! ...He mentions it being on the strong heady side without making him feel overly tired or put out.

So far it's the smoothest for me. I can't remember if it came from BKH or KWK...is there any difference, by the way, if two vendors have a kava with the same name? Assuming they're both reputable vendors?

Has anyone tried both the medium grind and micronized pouniono? I only have tried the micronized and it's my favorite so far but I've heard people say sometimes the med grind has different effects than the micro or instants.

Hi. I'm new. I just wanted to pop in here and say, despite the good reviews this product gets on Amazon and the hefty cost (one pound is $44, compared to Wakacon's Fiji stuff that is $29), this is fairly unimpressive. It doesn't do much, but it makes me pretty dang nauseous.

Maybe I'll try it without milk next time.

Well, my post above will serve as warning to those who have never tried Pouni Ono -- you might feel nauseous without extreme effects.

BUT, I am back to report that in finishing the pound I bought tonight, I felt some solid feelings, so I'll rescind the "it didn't do anything" part of my comment above.

It's weird, they say having milk or fats in kava makes the effects stronger. But I find that enjoying it without milk or fats amplifies the experience.
