Thanks Vekta. I'm hoping to make (1) Lb. of powder last a month of near daily use. Albeit not "krunked" 24/7, just nice & relaxed. Also how much liquid (milk, coconut milk, etc.) should I mix w/ the 1-2 Tbl. spoons per day>
I think 2Tbl. per day would probably end up lasting you a month. I've been using 4 Tbl. per day and I think it will end up lasting just 2 weeks. I think 2Tbl / cup of liquid works well. But one cup of water isn't very much to work with so I would suggest making enough for a few days at once, and storing in the fridge. I like adding coconut milk and pineapple juice. I don't really measure them though. The amount of liquid doesn't matter much other than for taste, it's obviously the amount of kava per session that matters.
I have found that for most finely powdered kava a rounded tablespoon is approximately 5 grams. there are 453.59 grams in a pound therfore we are looking at 90.72 table spoons. This divided by 5 (tablespoons; enough for me to get completely wastedyoided on a decent kava) is 18.14 so a pound should get you 'krunked' as you folks say every night for over two weeks and if you keep that up another two weeks you will get itchy, mark my word! However the upside is when you stop for a week and slough your kavaskin your body will feel soft like a babies bottom all over!
