Prep. question

So I have not yet been able to appreciate the "aquired taste" of  a kava root drink.  I have found it much easier to drink when mixed with apple juice.  I was wondering if anybody has tried to replace the water in the prep. with apple juice so as to not have to add it later and have more liquid to drink.  Would it release the kavalactones the same way as water? And just a side note...i have gone through my first 1/4 kilo of stone in under a week......sad i thought that it would last longer...this hobby may be more expensive then i expected.

I've used coconut juice. The nice thing about coconut juice is it has a tiny bit of fat in it so it's as if you were using a little lecithin in the mix without having to actually put some in.



I've use apple juice but only with instant.



Stone is one of the heavier ones. Try something light like Tongan or a Hawaiian Kava. I use Hawaiian Kava with out anything else but water and it's really good. It kind of tastes like black tea with a little bit of clover honey in it to me. YMMV.
