So I just finished doing the front lawn (between calls). With the Oak Pollen and Grass, my nose was dripping like Niagara Falls. All this time I was replaying something that @Gourmet Hawaiian Kava had told me, "Deleted User01, Kava is an anti-inflammatory". Ok fine. So I took a dose of Micronized Nene and I feel a lot better. I'll probably do another one for good measure but it seems to help. I'm running low on Mo'i so I'm going the sedation route today. Which is par for a Friday anyway. You guys in Texas and Florida, check it out and let me know if you think Kava helps these dang spring allergies. The pollen count is off the charts here in South Texas and will get worse before it gets better.

@Schmedward, I thought Kava would also do that since it can contribute to Dry Itcht Eyes and even itch skin, but it did the opposite. Now remember that I took Nene which seems to have the least side effects of any Kava that I have taken. But I'm not surprised that it does aggravate some allergies. I would think it might aggravate the symptoms having to do with skin and eyes. But yesterday my nose was running like an Olympic Track Star and the Nene stopped it dead in its tracks. So maybe it depends on the symptoms you are trying to fix.

I should give Nene a try... or maybe mix it with something, Nene's mostly heavy, right? I like using kava to unwind but I don't like it putting me to sleep too fast.

Fuck yeah nene dries my nose right up. Now that I think about it last summer I had barely any allergies. Probably due to the kava use.

Interesting. I don't think I've really tried that yet. I'm on it! I found a short burst of exercise really helps clear me up for at least an hour or so. Enough to feel some fuckin peace and serenity. For as mild of a problem, especially compared to problems in the rest of the world, allergies really fucking destabilize me

I remember that. Moderate cardiovascular exercise would eliminate all symptoms. Maybe the body realizes how important breathing is and gives up on fighting benign pollen particles.

I've noticed this also. Even at my worst, exercise opens me right up! I'm breathing fine. For awhile.
So, a workout followed with a kava post-workout session sounds like a winner to me!

Nice post Deleted User01 but this was all I heard. I forgot to tell you that I am also almost out of Moi.:arghh::cry:
The good news is that I am almost out of my last batch of Moi, my new batch is all ready to take it's place.:ROFLMAO:(y)
Aloha.

Chris
Glad to here that a fresh batch of Moi is coming up, does this mean the chunks of Moi root will be back in stock?

Interesting theory. I have terrible spring allergies, worst of anyone I know, and rely on prescribed nose sprays and a Neti pot to ease the reactions. Seeing as my first root in over three years arrives this week, and allergies start up in a month, it seems like perfect timing to test this theory out.

Over years of drinking kava, I've developed the opposite situation. Drink any kava? Nose runs like a monsoon, sneezes as well.
However, drinking kava when under the heavy hand of tree reproduction has always at least made me forget about how bad it makes me feel, so yes....kava does work!

The pollen is making it look like I'm Stony McStonerface with the red eyes.

Kava has never given me any allergic reaction except for the dry eye thing and only sometimes. I agree with your theory that Kava makes you feel better and thus you forget about all the bad symptoms. I can fell myself breathing hard with all this pollen. I know it is my childhood asthma that is being awakened. The last few days I feel like I have an itchy scalp and I want to blame the kava but how can you blame kava when we are at record setting levels of pollen? The point is this, Kava gets blamed for everything because so little research has been done on kava. And a bunch of questions that I answered today was just from my personal experiences and not from any published papers on the effects of kava on this that or another.

@Deleted User01 Here here, yeah Kava get's blamed for a lot of issues. I thought I was getting dermo because I had such bad winter itch this year.
@Kapmcrunk my whole family looks like Stony McStonerface, I joke that we should go get a family potrait. How's that old song go?...don't it make your blue eyes red
