Kava & Drug Interaction Reaction with anaesthetic?

I recently had an anaesthetic injection at the dentist, then went home and drank my usual 2 liter bowl of kava. I rarely have a headache (maybe once a year and even then self-inflicted), and have been drinking kava regularly for 30 years. However, towards the end of the evening I developed a crushing headache that lasted all night and the next morning. I was not dehydrated.
I wonder if kava has an interaction with the type of anaesthetic that a dentist uses? Does anyone have any knowledge of this interaction?
