I thought it might be nice to have a thread where we can proudly show off our kava apparatuses.  This is my favorite shell as of the moment.

Sweet!  Did you use a knife, dremel, whut?

I use a dremel bit because coconut is too hard to carve with hand tools

Thats pretty nice. You could actually set up a little business where you buy coconuts and cut them in half and fashion them into cups and carve them. Sell them here or ebay as handmade and all natural. In addition you would access to lots of fresh coconut milk and coconut shavings, makes for great kava grog and snacks.

My favorite shell was a coconut shell that I made. It wasn't anywhere near that nice, but it worked. For some reason it ended up splitting in a couple places though, not exactly sure why.



That is a pretty nice shell. I think you could sell them on ebay and maybe etsy even.

I actually have considered making custom shells like this and having them available to the good people of the forum here. Not to make a quick buck though, just to spread the love of kava and because I know that sometimes people like big shells and small shells and everything In between. And they would be carved of course.

Do you guys think somewhere around 15 for a shell like this would be a decent price? Or lower or higher?
