So when did others notice...

I had a surprising experience lately.

I went to visit a close family member. It got back to me, via my wife, that they were impressed at how calm and together I came across. I guess I've always been a bit anxious and wired, in general, but didn't realize how I must of been wearing it on my sleeve. I have to wonder if the change in affectation was somehow due to my current drinking of Kava.

So I wonder, has anyone had an experience where their friends and/or family noticed a change in them from drinking Kava?

Surprisingly, like you, I had a nearly identical experience recently with my girlfriend of several years who commented on how much calmer, grounded and more content I had been since I started drinking kava. I really didn't think it had as profound an effect on me as she did, but then again, I'm notoriously unaware of how I come across to others.

It definitely does do the mind a whole lot of good.

Unfortunately kava's after-effects never have a positive impact on me whatsoever, in terms of alleviating stress. Even if it does it's still too minimal to even tell whether it's the kava or a placebo. Of course, I'm all fine and dandy during and right after a session but after that it's back to my normal self. More power to you guys

A friend of mine from back in Jr. high noticed. He said I'm a complete 180 from the way he remembered me. The next time I saw him I had already been drinking kava for a while.
