Something different with Kavafied Kava Supreme?

My wife got me a bag for Xmas. This is probably my 3rd or 4th bag, so it's certainly not new to me. The grind though is much finer than it was before. So much so that much (most) of the powder slips straight through the aluball. Are other people seeing this, or did I just get an off batch? She ordered it off Amazon - Lot #191512 with an Exp of 9/10/22. Seems to also produce a different effect that I had become accustomed to with Kava Supreme.

Incidentally, I feared maybe one of my aluballs sprung a hole so I even ordered two new ones...same result.

It’s always been a relatively fine grind, but I believe they also have a micronized version of Kava Supreme. maybe they accidentally put the micro version in your bag.
