Stone kava arrived today

So this was my first non instant mix. Thanks to everyone here and the instructions that came with the root(i deviated a bit after reading about a few ways people make their mix here). Well..i knew i'd done a good job when everything including my lips went numb on the first chug.

Some time did go by before it kicked in which had me disappointed for a few minutes. That disappointment soon turned into chill with a goofy smile. Man was it way more bitter than the instant..still pretty paletteable though.

I liked stone quite alot it is probably one of the best items on N@Hs menu right now. I felt the chiefs was not nearly as strong as it advertised as and the stone was way underhyped, I've never tried the wow due to the price but am curious about. My favorite N@H kava was soloman islands which was awsome but it appears to be long gone. The recipes given on the bag at N@H would make for a wickedly potent kava drink but would get pretty costly, they recommend 1 cup kava to 2 cups water and considering a cup is around 100gms a 1/2 kg would only be good for about 10 shells. I think KBRs instructions of 1 cup kava to 1 gallon of water are much more feasible and allow the kava budget to be stretched. If you stone you'll probably also like BKHs boroguru or borogu.

Yeah, my next order will probably BKH fu'u..i see good things about it everywhere and the owner [while spamming the forum (smiley: tongue) ] does contribute to it as well and i think thats pretty cool. Then ill probably give KBR a try because of the awesome prices.

In retrospect....i made this stuff too strong.  Dont underestimate this mix..i used 1/2 cup kava to 2 cups water. The instructions recommend 1 cup kava to 2 cups water.  Was really nice before the nausea kicked in..i even tried to sleep it off..got up an hour or so later still feeling the kava and am still queezy at the time of writing this (7 hours later).  Respect your kava ladies and gentalmen.  Start off in small ammounts if you 're just starting out with kava.

I'm about ready to buy some Stone since the kava I started with did little for me. I was intending to start on the strong end, but good to know I should maybe be a little more cautious.

I really like stone, but I hear ya with the nausea. For some reason I'm a hardhead when it comes to nausea though... what bugs me about stone is that each and every time I've ever drank the stuff for more than a few days it gives me terrible diarrhea that will last up to 2 weeks totality. No joke. That is the only kava I have ever had that has had that effect on me, on multiple occasions.

disgruntled tech i had the same experience using their 2 to 1 cup ratio.. felt hammered and blissful until the hours of nausea kicked in. I spent my night falling in and out of a nauseous sleep haha.
