Strainer bag tip

I have bought several different brands of strainer bags. All of them without exception is not very long lasting. Even if I use 2 at a time I still tear them open. So I found the solution. Cheesecloth. It is durable, I dont tear it and best of all. It is really cheap in a cloth store. I paid some 10$ for 1x2 meters of it. I think that for the regular kava drinker, this is hands down the best solution available at the time. Also, its not nylon, which is a plus for our environment.

Hmm... I wonder if you bought some of that  CCC-C-440 stuff used to test the durability of military optical coatings. Durability isn't the first word that comes to my mind when I hear the word "cheesecloth", hehe.

I went to the store and told the owner what I wanted to do and how. Thankfully she knew about kava and gave me what she identified as cheesecloth. Perhaps there are different kinds, but this kind I have is tough.

I'm telling you, the Fijian Kava strainers are the best. The ones you can *sometimes* get at kickbackwithkva.com or pacific kava are particularly good.

I just received and used my first Fijian bag from kickbackwithkava. So far I'm like it, I wonder how long they last.

After looking at the photos I could find of them. Id say it is likely to be made from the same material that I have, only they make it into handy bags and color it. Their price is so low though, that there are no reason not to buy them with a batch.
