Are you guys using an instant or micro or you still have to filter after blending? I'm kinda confused as to where you would find an inexpensive filter for this? I've seen some pretty expensive filters. Someone explain this process to me and where to get a cheap filter.
Instant/micro only needs a little stir. The idea here is the blending replaces the traditional prep of medium grind. Most will still pour the soupy mix through their usual strainer bag to filter after blending.
Cheap strainer = doubling up some knee high stockings

amazon has some cheap ones. my favorite is fifteen bucka from wakacon. Probably the smallest micron count

I like the Mesh Berry ones on Amazon. For under $10 you get a 75 micron bag, a 200 micron bag, and a silicone cup. The bags are good quality nylon and pretty sturdy. I don't worry about busting them at all. They come with a lifetime warranty too.

If you use the finest grind possible blend and gulp without straining you get near 100% of the kavalactones but the neighbor kids will gather just to
see the kava face you make when you drink it.

Mesh Berry? Is that a typo or something? I Googled and couldn't find anything.

Blender quality might have an effect. I haven't blended for a couple of years but I remember using my Ninja blender did usually seem more potent than kneading. The blender mess was a pain and I had to dirty more dishes with the extra straining so it seemed like more work than it was worth.

ive blended for 5min at a time with a regular blender and an immersion blender and its way weaker for me than hand mixing. i havnt tried an aluball yet. im still new to kava so im not sure these findings mean much but of the effects i do get from kava they are noticeably stronger with traditional prep. this makes me wonder if an aluball would help me at all.
