Fresh Kava Root Review Sun Dried Waka Roots Review

I ordered 1 lb. of sun dried Waka Roots from Fiji Fresh Kava and got it delivered from the US to Sweden in only a week! Surprised by this quick delivery because I have packages from inside the EU that I have not received after 1-2 months of waiting. This is the first time having kava roots. I can really recommend ordering this, I feel that it's more "real" to actually grind the roots by myself. The effects for me was calming and relaxation in both body and mind. I do feel like this is a stronger dink and got more kavalactones available. But I am kinda new when it comes to Kava. This batch did feel like it number my mouth and made me able to relax.

Some of the roots that I got delivered. I found it kinda easy to break the roots apart with my hands, instead of using a scissors.

In with the roots in in my coffee grinder. This time I used 40 grams of roots, so I had to use the coffee grinder multiple times.

I let it swell for a bit in tap water that was prob 60 degrees or more. Also added a small amount of out milk because some fat can't effect it negatively (9) at least, even if it's debatable if fat is helping or not.

I'm using a strainer made för making plant based milk from nuts, oats and so in,

Second wash. As you can see there is still prob some goodies left in the grinden kava. So I am gonna try more washes with the same kava. Usually It works kinda good for be until the 4th time.

Very nice post BSB !
that's very helpful for newbies like me (y)
Question......Is it not possible to bruise the roots and let them soak for a night?
Then you do not have that much residue.
BSB is it true that The taste and smell contains notes of nutmeg and cinnamon?
That's what the website tells me.
Does it taste actually good?
My first KAVA experience (micronized from KAVAKING) was that it tasted horrible.

I do feel the taste of cinnamon and nutmeg, but it also tastes like kava in general. So those tones of flavor won't help if you don't like the kava taste.
Micronized kava is the worst tasting I've had, but it was from KWK.
But this is the best tasting kava I've had for now!

I need to answer you again, now when I have been working myself into almost half the roots that I have ordered. The taste and smell of nutmeg and cinnamon really is noticeable compared to other pre-grinded Kava that I have ordered. I realized today, that my coffee grinder was not having that much of a rough time. What I thought was the smell of the motor getting over heated, was just the smell of cinnamon and nutmeg! It is still Kava, so it tastes like kava. But the notes of cinnamon and nutmeg is really there, especially noticeable when the kitchen smells like it while preparing the brew.
