The strongest blend I've had

Tonight I made a blend with 1/4 cup boroguru and 1/4 cup stone. Wow. I don't think I have been krunk like that. It didn't even feel like kava, it felt sort of like another plant that sometimes goes by the first name of Mary(trying not to say it bluntly because I hate kava getting put into this group, but this is the closest thing I can compare to) however my mental state was clear of course, but with added euphoria. Sounds seemed especially neat. Talking was fun as well, it sounded different. And my muscles turned into goop, blissful goop. And, it lasted a good three hours! I never knew that this could be so strong, but I have been blown away by kava yet again!

It's actually interesting to examine the neurochemical reactions of the kavalactones. Each one has different properties and there is still alot of speculation on the issue. Yangonin appears to have a similar pharmacological reaction to cannabis in that it binds to the same cannibinoid that cannabis does the CB1.

_____________From Wiki________________________

Yangonin is one of the six major kavalactones found in the kava plant.[1] It has been shown to possess significant binding affinity for the cannabinoid receptor CB1

Kavain has a bunch of reactions and the one I find the most interesting is the NDMA binding reaction. NDMA agonists really consist of alcohol and most of the arylcyclohexylamine class of drugs that include ketamine and such. While it's double bonded cousin DHK (dehydrokawain) is a MAOB inhibitor.

Considering kava has over 50 kavalactones and only a handful have been investigated really the options are limitless. Each strain having different profiles is what gives different effects for different strains and blends really drive it home.

That said I prefer to mix high DHM strains with high kavain strains. Mixing stone or chief's with nambawen or wow would really even the profile and create a complex buzz, same deal with mixing boroguro with fu'u.

I read that about yangonin before, I don't know why we only have strains that lean either towards kavain or DHM. I would be Putin my time Into creating a strain with high amounts of yangonin and less of kavain or DHM.

Bula along with a few other vendors list their kavalactone profiles. The way their listed is each of the major six lactones has a number associated with it and the numbers are listed in the order of which lactones appear in the greatest quantity.(chart from kava by Rex)Usually people try and find strains high in either 3 or 6 (kavain or DHM) but it seems that looking for 5 would be a better way to go.

I think that stone may have some yangonin in there because my CB1 receptors feel rather stimulated when I drink it.

My favorite blend is BKH Nabawan with Paradise Awa.

In fact I think that will be my weekend plan, lol.
