The wonders of kava

I've been drinking kava 2-3 times a week for the past month or so. Today I had an extremely trying and stressful day and began to break out in hives, as I do when I am become very anxious. I decided to consume a couple cups of Van3 with about 4 tablespoons of the root. It's been approximately 2 hours since my first cup and my hives almost completely subsided. I am grateful to have found this miraculous root. If it wasn't for Vesuvio Cat's blog I would have purchased my first kava product from kona kava farm and I'm sure I would have been disappointed. Thank you all for your informative and supportive posts. I greatly appreciate everyone's contributions to this forum.

I agree, I have yet to have my first kava experience, but I've got 2 pounds of Vanuatu3 which should be here within a couple days, and In a week or so I'll have 2 pounds of KBR's Fiji Waka. I'm very excited, I even made my own coconut shell cup. XP The information on this site is invaluable, and all you guys seem extremely chill and knowledgeable.

Welcome to the forums guys.... Once you start drinking and getting to know kava you'll be able to contribute here as well for all the newcomers. I agree there is quite a bit of information on here whether it be scientific studies posted here or individual recipe/experience, either way it's a lot of knowledge that I did not have when I first started drinking kava.
Kona Kava is still good.
I do admit to buying their Tropical instants lately. It's pretty good stuff albeit rather weak, but it goes good with Fu'u or Vanuatu Instant Green
