Has kava ever been known to exacerbate tinnitus?

Mine has went apeshit crazy the past few days....I have narrowed it down to 2 things, 1 being something I won't mention here, the other being new to kava.

Thanks!

I have fairly constant tinnitus but I'm not sure if kava exacerbates it, or causes you to notice it more.

I'll have a big bowl when I get home and try to find a quiet place to listen.

I know booze will make my ears ring like an alarm when I'm trying to sleep.

I think kava actually does bring on some ear ringing briefly. I can't say that it's prolonged, but I do believe it's been mentioned before. My ears are constantly ringing a bit, and some good kava seems to make it a bit louder, but just for a few minutes.

My ears are always ringing if I listen. When kava kicks in good, there's usually a temporary ring that starts up.
A previous forum member and long time kava drinker who had Tinnitus from past military experience said that kava actually gave him a reprieve from it.

When my eyes feel dry and squinty and my ears start to ring that is my cue that the kava is really going to take me "There" and give great strong effects.
It is only temporary though like dino9832 mentioned.

I have noticed that I get a little ear ringing after a heavy session. Usually my right ear will ring 3-4 times back to back. Like it will ring for a few seconds, subside, then immediately start again for another few seconds. Then it goes away. Its not a daily thing, just every once in a while I notice it.

Strangely enough, I noticed a short period of low-pitched tinnitus this afternoon about 15 minutes after drinking a tall glass of kava. I'm not usually susceptible to tinnitus. could have been anything though

I've had constant tinnitus since I was 5 (in my 50s now). Kava always makes it louder while I'm rooted, but the next day,
it's back to normal. As @Squanch72 said, I see the increase in ringing as a sign it's beginning to kick in.

I haven't noticed any long term change in my tinnitus since drinking kava (15+ years).

I have had Tinnitus since I was a kid, Kava does make me notice it more but I haven't noticed any long-lasting effects.
