Vacuum drying

To those kava vendors whom are more scientist than farmer I have a question for you. Do you think it would be possible to vacuum dry a batch of prepared kava? I'm interested in making my own powdered instant (for my own use of course). I have access to vacuum equipment but the only thing I lack would be a vacuum chamber which are easily acquired on eBay. Do you think this would be possible? I know most accepted way of drying a suspended solution is spray drying, but I'm interested to see if I can do it with what I have.

Did some more research, and it's a little more involved than a vacuum pump and chamber. Somehow there must be a condensing coil loop of refrigerant in a second chamber which has to cool the air below its condensation point before it reaches the pump. In the case of freeze drying it has to be down to -40 degrees. Fun fun. Still interested in hearing how others might go about doing it.

This would be neat if you could make it work. Be able to make instant of all your favorite ground root kava!
