So I was ordering protein powders on amazon and since I was already ordering some gross powders I searched for kava on a hunch. This particular kava came up and seems to have good reviews from amazon (one even called it "strongest best kava ever"), but I trust you guys more than I trust amazon reviewers. Anybody tried it? Good price for a lb and is eligible for free shipping.

I noticed that myself, was considering a purchase but my wife won't let me until I exhaust one of my current kavas.

Seems they've added some "lawena" kava (not familiar with that word). I hope somebody tries this soon. On the other hand, some of the Amazon reviews seem pretty sketchy.

Actually I just googled kava and it seems "lawena" is made from kava stems. Think I'll pass on that.

Not too sure about it being stems per say, so much as what we might call basal roots. But, just in case, I've decided to pass on anything called lawena.

Kava, as a definition of the beverage, is the beverage made ONLY from the underground organs of the plant. Kava, as a plant, is ONLY the species P. Methysticum.
