I don't mean whether or not your water has the ability to kick your ass or not....


I live in the Scotland in the UK (central belt) where the water is very soft.  Last night i was making up a batch of ISA from KBR and noticed the juice was really dark compared to pictures i've seen here and other places....I was making a cup of PG tips (tea) at the time and it got me thinking.  here in Scotland your tea will turn almost black as soon as your little tea bag hits the water but south of the border in England where the water is much harder you need to caress your tea bag a little longer to get all of your tea goodness out so does soft water = stronger kava i wonder?

thats possible if it has that effect on tea

i was wondering the same thing about alkaline water

they sell a bunch of high alkalinity based water here in the stores now

What is soft water again? A lack of minerals, or something with PH?

I tried making kava with black water, it didn't seem any different to me.

yeah, soft water has less mineral content than hard water....as far as i know anyway.
