We love answering questions! Well if you're looking for a more sedating kava you're going to probably need to lean towards isa, or a waka grade lateral kava such as Fijian, or Stone. You'll need a kava higher in DHM/DHK which tend to sedate more than kavain laden varieties. I make a batch of stone kava from Nakamal At Home nightly for sleep. They don't let you know which strain they are using, although it is more similar to Fijian from Paradise Kava, and also about similar grind as well. I understand the reaction from ISA. I drank tudei pretty religiously for a few months and I paid quite the price for it in skin condition. Again, for sedation without isa I'd go with Stone, but if you're limiting your intake by fineness of the grind then you're going to need to go with isa from Paradise Kava, Mahakea from Hawaiian kava center, or Borogu / Boroguru from Bula Kava House.You can negate most of the bad effects by straining, but you'll need to purchase a kava more suitable for straining (coarser grind). I suggest buying 3 strainers. One will wear out quickly, then double them. That will last you a good while, afterwards triple it, and it will last you for months. Which kavas can I order from these two sources that would have a sedating effect on me but not be isa which gave me a bad time and a rash. I have read a lot of things on line and two short books but they only had the numbers of a few kavas. Mostly the hawaiian with the 6 and 4 dominance. Need to get more sleep. do not take any other drugs or drink,and I dont want to. I believe in kava,it has helped me so much. Have found out some kavas are 'noble' (tried and true) but the lists are only(so far) from one country. Going to get the paint strainer,thank you.
