I'm new to kava and looking to try some. I've read some great reviews and so far the balanced kava is probably what I'm after. There is just so many and don't know what to pick. I've got my girlfriend wanting to try it also. She has anxiety really bad.

I still recommend Gourmet Hawaiian Kava's Mahakea as one of the best overall balanced kavas. Good headiness, mellow, and fades away into a nice gentle sedation. Every kava will react a bit differently with each person, so the only way to start is to jump in and start trying them out until you find your favorites. It is part of the fun of kava. Many vendors have sampler packs as well.
