I'm asking this because I want to introduce a new herb (gingko biloba) without having kava in my system. Because Im not sure if I should take them together. I am going to go a bit off topic so I thank you if you read through and are willing to give me a reply.
Last time I used them together (1 week) I woke up with a migraine for a couple of days. And decided not to use either when I woke up. I was out of kava anyways.
I have been told that they can be taken together and the drug interaction checker online says its fine.
but the science behind it is confusing, for example a warning label on kava says do not take with maois and gingko may have been considered an maoi or its not I can't tell. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10698362
