Yep, neither am I. I think some of these customs will change over time. Look at Vanuatu and Fiji: kava used to be a male thing whereas today many women drink it both at homes and in the nakamals. Tonga is a bit more traditional, but I think kava will eventually become a part of everyday culture for both men and women

@Henry, I hate to disappoint you guys. But I wouldn't dare come home and wake up my wife. I value my life waaayyyy too much. So after a late night kava binge, I just go with Hedgie to the Bunga Bunga for some hot cocoa.
