Kava Producing positive results for benzo on urine test?

So I am confused, please some one help clarify this for me. Why am I being told drinking kava produces a benzo positive urine test? I'm in recovery and don't really want any mix ups if I were ever tested. Can someone shed some light on this?

Who told you that? I've never heard of kava producing false positives for anything, myself.

There's absolutely no reason why (or even how) kava could cause a false positive for a UA. Besides, even if it (by some 1/1,000,000 chance) tested as a FP, the lab would confirm it with GC/MS and it would obviously be clean.

The molecules and metabolites are nothing alike.

I figured. I hate kava being seen in a negative light just because people don't know what it is. It's very aggravating.

In January, I had a urine test for an employment offer and I passed it without issue. I don't think i drank any kava the day before the test but at that point I was regularly drinking kava at least 2-3 times/week.

I just took a random one for work last month...I'm usually a daily lover, but I hadn't had any for a day or two before...No issues!!

I have personally come to a point where I dont care what ANYONE THINK'S!
Every sense I have come to this conclusion...life has been more at peace.

If my employer "for the time being" decided that I had to make a choice, I would choose Kava, because it has become intergrated within.
And without, would leave me feeling depleted and not full.
To be honest.....if it wasnt for Kava, I couldnt have lasted this long, lol
