Kava root chips

Finally found a local indo-Fiji market that carries kava. Along with some powdered Waka and Lawena I picked up this bag of root chips (they were all out of lateral roots)

So now what. Chew one like bubble gum and see what happens?

Yeah! I chew them all the time. Not like bubble gum, they are fibrous and you have to really go to town on them.

I misread "chew them all at one time", that would be quite time consuming I believe. Great for improving the jaw line though.

Well they don't taste great but my mouth and lips are sure numb

Oh i miss chewing good kava. Nice find. I still think chewing whole root is one of the best ways to enjoy kava.

Yeah I love when I get big ole piece of root to gnaw on spicy and mouth goes numb, it's great.

Does anyone know of a place online where I can buy whole kava root no more then $35 for a lb? I really want to buy some kavafied whole root if it was in stock....

This is why the kava world needs Avini ute. Supposedly soft roots that are super easy to chew. And tolerant of dry conditions. If only it were frost tolerant too!
